This Manager - Systems Engineering will provide expertise, support, and development for critical infrastructure components. This position is responsible for automating, optimizing, and modernizing Unix and virtualization environments for Enterprise Server infrastructure. The engineer would ensure the reliability, performance, optimization, and security of CVS Health's Infrastructure systems. The infrastructure spans over 60,000 servers and includes multiple datacenters and virtual environments.Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years in designing, implementing, and managing Unix solutions, preferably across multiple platforms
• 3+ years of Unix and virtualization technologies, such as AIX, VMware, coupled with hands-on experience in managing virtualized environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of physical server and hardware support for Unix environment with focus on IBM and Oracle servers
• Deep understanding of architecture principles, distributed systems, and microservices
• Understanding in Unix and cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell)
• Extensive hands-on experience in infrastructure management, site reliability engineering, and observability engineering
• Strong scripting and automation skills, enabling the creation of robust and efficient automation solutions
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards, such as HIPAA and NIST, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$44.57 - $89.14This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
