Manager, Systems Integration and Test EngineeringÂ
As the manager of System Integration and Test Engineering at Lunar, you will be on the front line of system integration between mechanical parts, electrical boards, low level embedded firmware, and higher level application logic. This is a highly technical role requiring experience with integrated hardware and embedded software. You will lead a team to identify and solve cross functional integration problems, as well as putting in place hardware and software to perform automated system level regression testing.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…
- Hire, lead, and mentor a team of system integration engineers to solve integration problems and build the capability of automated system level regression testing.Â
- Work with the system engineering team to ensure the product has a clear set of testable requirements.
- Ensure the system meets its requirements and this behavior is robust across all corner cases
- Work side by side with functional leaders to release high quality features with extensive regression testing
- Create test plans and perform root cause analysis
- Define and implement hardware in the loop testing
Desired Skills:
- Degree in an electrical engineering related or adjacent field, or demonstrated commensurate ability.
- Demonstrated excellence debugging complicated system level behavior at the crossroads of electrical engineering and firmware
- Experience with BMS, batteries, power electronicsÂ
- Experience with CAN, RF, PLC communicationsÂ
- Fluent in scripting/automation using Python
- Able to read electrical schematics and embedded C code
- Experience with hardware in the loop testing
- Experience with high-voltage lab equipment
- Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and the ability to smoothly work cross functionally

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $165,000 - $200,000 USD.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
