Manager, Talent Acquisition and Workforce

Horace Mann is looking for an experienced talent acquisition and workforce leader that will evolve and advance how we attract, recruit and plan for our future workforce. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fostering the organization's success by leading the talent acquisition and workforce efforts to recruit top talent for open and future positions.
• Manage all recruitment processes, including interviews, resources, pre-boarding, and sourcing initiatives.
• Lead workforce initiatives to build diverse talent pipelines to fill future workforce needs.
• Partner with Communications and other business key stakeholders to develop marketing and branding campaigns that appeal to qualified candidates.
• Recruit for executive level and leadership positions at Horace Mann.
• Cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion in every aspect of the recruitment and selection process.
• Provide supervision and leadership to the talent acquisition and pre-boarding teams. 
• Bring thought-leadership to reimagine the attraction of talent and positive impacts on the employee experience at Horace Mann.  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field required. Five (5) years of direct recruitment and sourcing experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of HR leadership experience required, with experience specifically leading recruitment and sourcing teams strongly preferred.
• Strong business acumen.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Periodic travel may be required (up to 25%).
• Normal office environment/hybrid work schedule. May consider remote arrangement.
