About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Manager of Talent Development , reporting to our VP of People Operations and Talent, to lead our newly-formed Talent Development team.
The role is a great opportunity to build and implement learning programs across all levels at Ontra to ensure that our employees have the tools they need to best serve our customers and develop professionally. The Manager of Talent Development will collaborate with enablement leaders across the company to provide a clear onboarding structure for new employees, and partner with functional team leads to identify and address skills and learning gaps across the business to create opportunities that uplevel our employee base.

What you'll do
- Onboarding : Build a best in class onboarding program across various departments and levels, working with function leaders, people managers, recruiters, and people business partners to uncover key talent development areas that will set new hires up for success.
- Training : Collaborate with team managers across the business to understand what training gaps currently exist and build a roadmap of department and level-based training to up-skill current employees.
- Professional Development : Evaluate and improve Ontra's PD stipend guidance, ensuring that employees understand our business and know how to take advantage of the resources available to them for their personal and professional growth.
- LMS Management : Successfully implement a new LMS (Workramp), overseeing all ongoing iterations and maintenance.
What you'll bring
- Experience : 7+ years of experience in training and development, specifically building and leading initiatives for high-growth companies, with at least 2 years in people management
- Expertise : Experience managing a LMS required (Workramp preferred); familiar with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles; experience with content creation, authoring tools (i.e. Articulate), and video editing preferred
- Consultative Collaborator : Understands the importance of communication and is skilled at facilitating discussions, gathering feedback, and presenting ideas in a clear and concise manner; an active listener and problem-solver who strives to build strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect
- Naturally Curious : Asks questions and seeks out new information, often delving deeper into a subject to gain a more complete understanding; willing to consider different perspectives (even if they don't align with your own).
- Organized and detail-oriented : Ability to break down complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks, and create a structured plan with clear timelines and milestones; pays attention to details while keeping the big picture in mind.
- Analytical: Skilled at examining data from different angles and perspectives to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make informed decisions.
- Flexible : Can navigate changes, uncertainties, and unexpected obstacles that arise during projects, and adjust plans, resources, and strategies as-needed while maintaining a focus on project goals.

Ontra publishes salary ranges on our salary board here: http://bit.ly/3UjAOE3 , which currently includes estimated annual cash salary ranges for candidates based in Colorado and New York City, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ontra leverages current market data to determine compensation, so posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
Ontra factors in your location when benchmarking compensation for most roles. If you are not located in Colorado or New York City and have been selected to participate in our interview process, we encourage you to speak with your recruiter about compensation for the role during an initial conversation.
In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
