Position Title: Manager, Talent Development and Learning (M2)

Role:
The Manager, Talent Development and Learning is a critical part of the Talent team. As a leader within the Talent group, you will lead a team of Learning Experience Designers to deliver learning and talent development solutions that are engaging, scalable, sustainable, and directly aligned to delivering business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of the learning experiences as an extension of talent and enterprise strategies
- Ensure the team possesses the skills to deliver value added learning and talent development solutions now and in the future.
- Partner with leaders in Talent and across the business to identify learning solutions that address strategic talent needs.
- Lead the development of the learning design strategy as an extension of talent strategy and enterprise strategy
- Manage resource allocation and hold the team accountable for the design, delivery and ongoing optimization of learning solutions that serve customer talent needs.
- Maintain a keen understanding of learning and talent development trends and best practices, both through their own professional development, and by cultivating an atmosphere of learning and growth within the team.
- Ensure learning solutions are designed to make the appropriate impact in terms of knowledge acquisition, skill development, or behavior change, by leveraging a range of tools including instruction-based, experience-based, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Facilitates and implements training solutions as part of their portfolio of work.
- Partner with Director and cross-functional team to articulate how learning and talent development solutions work, make the value of programs and learning journeys evident to teammates and business leaders.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and quantitative measures of learning impact, and provide insights to the business that can be leveraged in decision making.
- Partner with the Director to ensure the partnership model with other areas of the business is strong and delivering expected value.
- Collaborate with peers across Talent Group and business to align and integrate learning across the teammate experience and ensure consistency in the quality of that experience across contexts and over time.
- Participate in the management and maintenance of the learning management system and adaptive learning platform.
- Manage relationships with third-party firms delivering learning and training services, establishing the standards and metrics to track delivery and impact.
- Engage and partner with vendors
- Demonstrate optimism and agility in fast-paced, ambiguous, service-oriented environments.
- Deliver high quality results against tight timelines and manage delivery for multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources in order to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment
- Demonstrates an ability to engage in strategic ideation with cross-functional partners
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to deliver complex solutions
- Clear track record and willingness to participate in tactical deliverable development
- Demonstrates project management capability as evidenced by managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders in an autonomous manner with limited day-to-day oversight, preference for knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management approaches

Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's in Business, Learning Experience Design, Business Psychology, or related preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years in formal leadership role, leading a team of Learning Experience Designers
- 5+ years in corporate learning, training, or educational settings requiring design of programmatic, outcome-based learning experiences
- Professional experience as coach or learning designer is a clear plus
- Experience participating in innovation efforts across the business, and/or developing innovative learning solutions (or in an adjacent talent space).
- Clear evidence of knowledge about current developments in the L&D space, methods, metrics, and tools, and ability to explain them in plain language that is relevant to the business
Organizational Relationship
Reports to: Director Talent Development & Learning
Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Learning Designer I, Learning Designer II, Learning Designer III, Technical Writer, and Sr. Learning Designer.
Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
