Overview:

This is a REMOTE position.

This position will lead Talent Relations Advisors supporting the Human Resources (HR) service model for Mercy in a virtual setting. This person will play a pivotal role in leading a group of co-workers that provide a world-class HR experience to our leaders, managers, and co-workers. This individual will bring expertise in basic Employee Relations matters and HR system navigation, along with generalist knowledge across the HR domain. Service will be provided through different channels including a contact center, case management via a Human Capital Management (HCM) portal, chat and even mail. This individual must have the capability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all levels of co-workers up to the highest level of leadership within the Mercy organization. Knowledge of the current HCM and call center technology is preferred. Maintains a high level of confidentiality and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Strong people management skills are a mandatory requirement of this role to deliver a Best in Class experience to our co-workers.

This position must also provide advanced knowledge coworker relations, benefits, compensation and/or expert knowledge, including complex and escalated issues that may not be able to be handled in one call to the Talent Relations Team. Works closely with other Talent Relations leaders, Senior Advisors and Consultants to ensure appropriate collaboration and transition of complex talent relations cases for timely and effective review and resolution.

Lead co-workers whose primary responsibilities are to provide HR generalist service.

Provide training, performance, and process improvement efforts to drive operational excellence and meet departmental goals and standards.

Daily management of service administration via technology and people management of the Talent Relations team. Extensive use of multiple systems (examples include HCM system, UKG, Cisco Finesse, etc.) is required to accurately maintain, communicate, and report out on Talent Relations operations for the entire Ministry.

Manage escalated situations and provide leaders with advice, counsel, and recommended courses of action on issues of low to high complexity, based on operating guidelines, policies and applicable laws.

Assist co-workers of all levels in appropriate resolution of co-worker relations issues and conduct investigations for a variety of issues independently ensuring all practices are efficient, equitable and compliant using Mercy legal standards.

Develop and maintain processes and documentation supporting HR service administration.

Help identify trends and opportunity for improvement based on case types and co-worker/leader behavior patterns.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in a Human Resources function. 2+ years of leadership experience preferably in a call/support center environment.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or equivalent work experience plus college work in related field
  • Certifications: SHRM CP or SCP preferred
  • Other: Advanced computer knowledge and skills. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. Strong supervisory and decision making skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work collaboratively with others. Ability to work with and preserve confidential information. Ability to convey and project a professional image to co-workers and leaders. Excellent knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Demonstrated high level of competency in the areas of employee relations, selection/recruiting, counseling, performance management, benefits and training a plus.
