Manager, Tax Operations

The Finance Team includes Accounting, Finance Business Partnership, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, and Treasury teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a Domestic Tax Operations Manager to join the Snap Finance team! You’ll play a key role on our Tax Operations team, leading our Federal and State tax matters and collaborating with other groups within our tax and broader finance teams to support our global tax planning, accounting and compliance functions 

What you’ll do:

• Manage Federal and State income tax compliance

• Manage US Indirect Tax including registration, invoice/documentation requirements, compliance, reporting and provide audit support

• Provide support for the R&D credit analysis, hiring incentives, and other strategic tax initiatives

• Monitor key legislative updates to determine the tax impact to Snap

• Support Global Quarterly and Annual Tax Accounting Process– preparation of quarterly and annual global consolidated income tax provision in accordance with ASC740

• Work with internal personnel to support M&A and other business initiatives

• Evaluate and implement software solutions for tax compliance needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment

• Must have a strong work ethic and be able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

• Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships

• Great attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent years of experience

• 5+ years tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of multinational company, or combination thereof

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in taxation, CPA, and/or JD
