Job Description

Q2 is seeking a Manager, Trade shows & Events that is responsible for developing and executing an events strategy that aligns with our business objectives and drives brand awareness with an integrated events strategy. This position will manage a team of event managers that also own the planning and execution of tradeshows and events. This position is also responsible for designing, and delivering Q2 sponsored events such as CONNECT, and others as needed, designed to build and expand client relationships through education, training, content and cross-sell.

As a key member of the Marketing team at Q2, the Manager, Trade Shows and Events will work cross-functionally engaging key executive leadership and stakeholders across the company from sales and client relationship management, product, strategy, strategic alliances and more. This person is also responsible for defining and executing program analytics, tracking and communication plans as well as overall budget planning and management. In this role, they will work closely with other marketing areas including marketing programs, product marketing, creative services, and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ยท Effectively lead a team of event managers, providing guidance and best practices for success

ยท Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, including hotel chains, service providers, and suppliers

ยท Clearly communicate objectives, project status and updates to stakeholders on a regular and consistent basis

ยท Report on the results of events from engagement to opportunity influence

ยท Evaluate and build a repeatable process and plan for executing events

ยท Manage Q2 hosted events and initiatives as directed

ยท Serve as core team planning member for annual client conference, CONNECT

ยท Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of assigned events

ยท Negotiate and manage vendor contracts related to assigned events

ยท Assist department in meeting business objectives for lead generation

ยท Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in relevant degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience

ยท Minimum of 2 years of managing and developing employees

ยท Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

ยท Strong skills in Cvent, SFDC, Wrike preferred

ยท Detail oriented, organized, strong project management and budget management skills

ยท Proven ability to manage projects independently, drive projects to completion, and implement change

ยท Communication and interpersonal skills โ€“ ability to build strong working relationships and communicate with sales teams and leaders

ยท Proactive attitude and an ability to work to deadlines while handling multiple projects

ยท Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

ยท CMP or CTSM Credentials preferred

ยท Ability to travel; approximately 20% travel
