Manager, Trading Operations

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Manager, Trading Operations located in South Carolina to join our Global Operations team.

Responsibilities

• Member of the Global Operations Leadership team, responsible for managing the US team as well as global project management efforts 
• Lead complex and high-priority projects across all phases including business analysis, requirements gathering, testing and implementation
• Project initiation and scoping, including setting and managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with project stakeholders
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and sponsors, including delivery risks and mitigants
• Manage and leading a team of 2-3 individuals performing daily functions including reconciliation of trade, cash, and positions across global markets 
• Identify ways to continuously optimize and streamline functions through the trade lifecycle and across asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and futures.
• Monitor operational risk for global markets and related activities; escalating appropriately 
• Liaise with vendors and brokers for improvement and issue resolution

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience in Operations, preferably within Financial Services
• At least 4 years of both project management and people management experience
• Team oriented and consensus driven with an ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to pivot between big picture thinking and detailed delivery plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral); confident interaction with senior stakeholders
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders outside their direct control
• Strong technical mindset and judgment; ability to partner closely with engineering during the project lifecycle
