This position plays a critical role on TransUnion's Finance and Treasury team. In partnership with the VP, Treasury, the advisor of Capital Markets will be responsible for developing and executing TransUnion's capital market strategy, with a focus on optimizing the company's cost of capital, maintaining adequate liquidity, and managing financial risks. The role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, financial risk management, and corporate finance principles.

This position plays a critical role on TransUnion's Finance and Treasury team. In partnership with the VP, Treasury, the advisor of Capital Markets will be responsible for developing and executing TransUnion's capital market strategy, with a focus on optimizing the company's cost of capital, maintaining adequate liquidity, and managing financial risks. The role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, financial risk management, and corporate finance principles.
What You'll Bring:
- 6+ years of experience in corporate treasury and or capital markets,
- Valued experience:
- Capital market experience at an investment bank, preferred.
- Experience with refinancing leveraged loans, high yield and investment grade bonds.
- Strong excel analytical and modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in executing debt and equity financing transactions
- Experience in managing financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and credit risks
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to capital markets activities
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends
- Education: bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Impact You'll Make:
- Develop and execute the company's capital markets strategy, including debt and equity financing, as well as risk management strategies with the VP, Treasury
- Assist the VP, Treasury with the analysis and execution of all capital markets and liability management activity - new issuance, refinancing, repricing, extension etc. Responsibilities include but not limited to deal due diligence, lender presentations, forecasts, and presentation to rating agencies, credit agreement review, funds flow execution, subsequent financial reporting etc.
- Stay up to date on capital market trends, regulatory changes, industry developments; Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing debt structure and make recommendations as necessary to the VP, Treasury to optimize the company's cost of capital, reduce interest expense while maintaining adequate liquidity.
- Co-lead working capital optimization initiatives to help improve processes and procedures to maximize valuation creation with minimal impact to suppliers and customers.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and analyze interest expense, cash flows, weighted average cost of capital, debt maturities etc.
- Manage monthly and quarterly deliverables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Accounting on compliance deliverables for complete ownership on Net Leverage Ratio, Excess Cash Flow etc.
- In partnership with the VP, Treasury, this role will Manage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as financial institutions, including investment banks, rating agencies, and lenders.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the executive team, legal, FP&A, Corporate development and investor relations, to ensure that the company's capital markets strategy aligns with its overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports, performance summaries, dashboards, KPIs etc. to internal stakeholders
- Manage monthly and quarterly payments related to debt, interest expense and hedges
