Your Role:
This dynamic and challenging role, in the healthcare software industry, is an important position within Baxter's Care Communications Care Communications Division. The Upgrade PMO Manager, (UPMM) is a field-based leadership role, in the PMO Excellence organization, responsible for team management and development, customer escalations, risk assessment and mitigation and continuous process improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Directly manage field-based Project Managers across a dispersed geography.
- Team Management & Development
- Measure and track individual PM performance levels. Provide timely and effective performance feedback.
- Conduct weekly 1:1s to review project status & process adherence.
- Host regular team calls; communicate service, product, and business updates.
- Coach team members on positive customer interactions, internal stakeholder management, time management, expense reporting, PM methodologies, etc.
- Assign new projects to PMs; monitor and rebalance workloads.
- Develop and deliver Upgrade PMO specific on-boarding, on-going training, and performance improvement plans for low performers.
- Develop, implement and track KPIs for the team & individuals
- Provide monthly business reporting to the PMO Excellence leadership.
- Scheduling Management
- Proactively manage customer product versions, Baxter's software releases and changes in the environment to anticipate demand.
- Participate in weekly scheduling meetings with upgrade engineering lead; collaborate to prioritize and meet business needs.
- Process & Product Innovation
- Create and maintain project management documentation.
- Continuously examine existing processes for improvement opportunities aimed at increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Solicit and report product improvement feedback Product Management.
- Engage regularly with Care Communications Sales & Service leadership, including the implementation PMO and tech support, to monitor group effectiveness and process improvement.
- Customer & internal stakeholder Management
- Act as escalation point for PM issues regarding customer engagements including customer issues, technical questions, and resource issues. Engage necessary internal and external resources to resolve escalations.
- Work with your internal peers in Engineering, Service, Sales, and Operation to effectively manage and understand the upgrade pipeline, and areas for improvement.
- Host regular stakeholder update calls to inform and receive feedback from interested parties.
- This travel expecations for this role are 0-20%
What you need:
- Undergraduate bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience desired working in project management in an acute healthcare environment (hospital) in a direct customer facing role, preferably with "C" level management.
- Managerial experience or commensurate experience needed.
- Documented record of team building.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Track record for driving team KPI attainment, documentation consistency.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills with strong PC literacy with Microsoft applications (CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Preferred familiarity with IT concepts and the healthcare industry.
- Must be highly customer focused with a demonstrated commitment to customer care and building long-term relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record on managing concurrent projects/initiatives through others.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
