Manager, Visual Strategy and Design

The Manager of Visual Strategy and Design is a strategic partner, thinker, and excellent marketing and visual communicator. While leading the VS&D team, they are also responsible for their own client projects. Their experience, capability, and deep knowledge of marketing communications and in particular, insight, makes them a trusted go-to and respected team member and colleague. They are excited by design, research, the nuances of language, and the challenge of translating complex information into sophisticated, accessible, and visually inspiring forms. Ideal candidates are masters of Power Point and use this as a platform to distill the complex and push the boundaries of compelling storytelling. Their work is critical to differentiating Brado and ensuring our clients’ success, but is not typically leveraged publicly or in external campaigns.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Lead the VS&D team, contributing to creative problem-solving.
• Reliably produce work that is strategic, fresh, and memorable.
• Leverage a wide range of design skills; illustrations, icons, stock photography etc. to help the Insight team tell compelling and impactful stories. Deliverables include reports, presentations, infographics, magazines, booklet, etc.
• Work independently and collaboratively with Strategists to translate insight content into visual design/output elevating the overall findings.
• Create and manage any needed Insight templates (ex: proposal templates, report templates etc.), keeping them organized, aligned with Brado brand standards and updated on the appropriate Sharepoint site, and serve as the department point person for updates.
• Meet deadlines for all key tasks and alert the team if a deadline looks to be compromised.
• Actively learns, shares, and grows their knowledge base and that of their team.
• As needed, engage with external illustrators and other freelance team members to direct their work.
• Manage and support compliance with all company or job specific trainings for all employees and vendors working on your team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a design role and 2+ years of experience in leadership of client work and/or direct reports.
• Expert in Power Point and skilled at leveraging other illustration and design tools and platforms.
• Experience creating interactive websites (using platforms such as WiX) and other immersive deliverables preferred.
• Ability to proactively socialize creative ways to engage the audience and bring stories to life.
• Strong ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and take direction from various stakeholders and incorporate feedback appropriately.

Specifically (but not limited to) Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Healthcare Providers (HCPs) processes and reporting, Ethics, Confidentiality, Data Privacy / Security and Harassment.
