Manager, Workday and HR Information Systems

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide domain expertise on Workday setup, data integrity, business process design, security, report writing and data analysis
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, condition/eligibility rules, calculated fields, security, and other Workday configurations (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Time, Absence, Recruiting, Talent/Performance and Learning)
  • Lead Workday improvements, including suggesting and prototyping new functionality
  • Support complex, short and long-term HR Projects
  • Develop user-procedures, guidelines and documentation on new processes and functionality
  • Develop and mentor employees on the HR Technology team and lead associated vendor relationships
  • Planning key activities, including testing, for releases, implementation of new and enhanced functionality, and integration with downstream systems
  • Build and be responsible for change control processes for Workday and other HR technologies
  • Partner with the Information Technology team to provide support to organizational projects
  • Conduct research, lead projects, and participate as a hands-on contributor towards the successful implementation of various HR initiatives
  • Serve as a Workday Authority
  • Maintain knowledge of HR business practices and technology to provide an advanced level of support to end-users
  • Provide immediate assistance when application issues prevent timely completion of critical operations
  • Demonstrate high-level problem-solving techniques to identify issues and take corrective actions to resolve
  • Coordinate with external vendors in support of Workday and other HR Technologies (Service Now, Payroll, Kronos)
  • Plan for and maintain the HR technical work backlog and provide status reports to leadership team
  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience supporting ERP/HR applications
  • 4+ years of experience in an HR Analyst, IT Analyst, or similar role
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating HRIS configurations and business processes within Workday
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Experience with Workday report writing
  • Workday certifications: Implementer preferred, Pro accepted
  • Proficient Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with internal and external customers
  • Ability to run, develop, and lead a small team of specialists, including vendor management

Preferences:

  • Project management and prioritization experience preferred
