Role Summary

The Manager/Sr. Manager, People Experience will serve as the operations lead for the People Experience team, take on special projects and partner with business stakeholders on people-related needs. Leading with a solutions-oriented service mindset, this individual will be charged with ensuring that the entire Lexeo staff is focused on achieving monumental goals by building and maintaining a best-in-class people operations infrastructure. The incumbent will report to the Vice President, People Experience.

Location

Our work culture is a hybrid model with days in the New York City office and days working from home. A remote arrangement may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Vice President, People Experience and stakeholders to develop and improve key people strategies and processes
  • Develop and oversee the talent onboarding process, including authoring or updating underlying programs, improving data management, record-keeping and analysis in Lexeo’s HRIS and payroll system, and leading associated events and activities (e.g., orientations, and engagement projects) to foster an informed and motivated employee base
  • Provide talent acquisition and applicant tracking support as needed
  • Partner with the VP on performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and goal setting processes to keep Lexeo well-balanced and aligned between corporate priorities and employee objectives
  • Manage the supporting processes that drive the employee lifecycle and serve as the primary administrator for all HR systems
  • Maintain the integrity of the HRIS and employee records to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Work closely with Finance on payroll, equity administration, contractor management, etc.
  • Operate as a key champion, driver and model of Lexeo’s culture
  • Provide support on ad-hoc people operations initiatives and projects as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in human resources with a focus on operations
  • High level of literacy in the Microsoft suite of cloud-based productivity tools
  • Experience working with a PEO in an administrative capacity; experience with JustWorks preferred
  • Familiarity with CultureAmp, JustWorks, and Egnyte strongly preferred
  • Experience in emerging growth biotech companies preferred
  • Benefits administration and compensation experience are strong pluses
  • Exceptional prioritization, organization, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to pivot between tactical and strategic work
  • Employee focus and customer service mindset

Depending on qualifications and overall experience, base salary is likely to be $135,000 - $175,000 per year.
