Job Summary (Primary function)
As a member of the US Market Access team, the candidate for this position will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and execution of the tactical market access marketing and reimbursement plans for products across the Incyte Oncology portfolio. This role will collaborate with key functional areas including Commercial, Medical, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
- Develop and execute market access branded and unbranded promotional and educational activities; including planning, resource creation, and implementation for Payer, Corporate and GPO Accounts, Trade and sales representatives across channel stakeholders (e.g., payer, IDN, VA, DoD, State Societies and emerging organizations).
- Collaborate in the development, implementation and placement of personal and non-personal print, digital media and video promotional plans and associated resources to market access customers.
- Collaborate with Product Strategy and Market Access stakeholders to identify and develop content for market access marketing programs, resources and relevant training.
- Partner with Product Strategy in the distribution of promotional messaging through market access customer channels.
- Partner in the development of market access convention strategy, including promotional buys, customer engagement plan, and geo-targeting.
- Manage external agency partners and projects from concept to completion on time and within budget; while measuring success vs industry benchmarks and ensuring strategic alignment and executional excellence.
- Support execution of insight generation activities (e.g. market research and advisory boards) to inform market access strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and Commercial Operation colleagues while managing the review of Market Access assets through the MLR process.
- Collaborate in the development and execution of the annual operational plan and support new product/indication launch planning activities; including associated training initiatives.
- Manage market access marketing budget, POs, invoice approvals, and monthly accruals and projections.
- Maintain internal libraries/repositories for approved market access resources.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, rapidly assimilate information, make decisions, prioritize and manage multiple projects/priorities.
- Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in specialty pharmaceutical/biotechnology brand marketing or market access marketing.
- Oncology experience with knowledge of oral and IV agents, oncology GPOs and large, organized hospital and community customers preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of payer marketing, managed care, state and federal reimbursement sectors preferred.
- Strong project, agency vendor, and budget management experience.
- Strategic and innovative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into tactical implementation.
- Executive presence with strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience working within appropriate compliance, medical, legal and regulatory environments (i.e., promotional review processes, fair market value, Sunshine Act, HIPPA, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite. Experience working within regulatory/compliance, systems/technology preferred (i.e. Fair Market Value systems, Veeva, CRM, SharePoint, WebEx, audio/video/projection, etc.).
