In this role, you will drive positive impacts through the design, build, execution of risk and control programs. We are looking for self-starters who enjoy learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies, excel at team leadership and mentorship, and are eager to help our clients strategically solve complex risk challenges. 

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with leadership in our Risk Advisory practice, leveraging expertise in risk & control programs and RCSAs
  • Assess and enhance our clients businesses by applying specialized risk & control knowledge across a range of engagements spanning risk assessments, frameworks, RCSAs, testing methodologies, testing execution and reporting
  • Conduct research and analysis, leveraging data to derive valuable insights and actionable recommendations for clients
  • Collaborate with team to ensure successful deliverables, combining technical depth with skills to influence and deliver results to business executives and technical professionals
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to team members, fostering their professional growth and development

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm) of comprehensive risk management programs including governance, policy, processes, and controls
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory environment
  • Deep understanding of audit, risk and operational risk management concepts
  • Experience in RCSA programs, audit program, or other risk & control programs
  • Experience reviewing business processes and assessing the adequacy of controls designed to mitigate risks identified as well as documenting appropriately
  • Experience developing and maintaining risk & control program key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs)
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and helping project teams resolve multifaceted issues
  • Strong skills both in written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively with client stakeholders
  • Demonstrated desire for continued learning about new and emerging technologies and staying current with trends in technology and operational risk management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Master’s degree or post graduate degree from a college or university is preferred 
  • Professional certifications in risk management fields
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%-30% (varies by client)
  • Availability to work on client site or in office 3 days a week, with 2 days remote (hybrid environment)

For applicants located in Illinois, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $95,000 - $200,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
