Overview:
Reporting to our Assistant General Counsel as a senior member of the legal team, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, including management of complex technology transactions, partnerships and strategic agreements, providing strategic legal advice and business counsel, and involvement in product counseling (including AI/data science), compliance, data privacy, security and other technological initiatives.
You will:- Complex Commercial Transactions with Customers and Partners: As a senior member of the legal team, you will partner with our North American and Latin American sales leadership teams to achieve revenue goals, and other leaders and across the company. Draft, negotiate, and review complex SaaS commercial transactions with our direct customers, reseller and distribution partners, and outsourced partners. Provide advice to senior sales leaders to support key commercial, business, product and strategic plans and advise deal teams on legal, structural, product and other important issues that arise in these transactions. Lead and manage negotiations with customers and strategic partners globally, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and ensure conformance with standards. Support regional expansion and new market entry, as applicable.
- Provide guidance to support new projects, including product innovation, engineering, data analytics, AI, and partner with key stakeholders to create collateral and support go-to-market initiatives for these strategies. Provide guidance about security practices, laws and regulations applicable to our business and product development, such as GDPR, E-Privacy, CCPA and TCPA. Monitor and address relevant industry regulations and industry trends of importance to the company and its clients.
- Process Management:
- Help develop and support continuous improvement of Legal Department operations to refine, simplify, and automate relevant contracting processes. Improve operational efficiencies through identifying productivity opportunities and implementing programs, processes, and tools to improve departmental workflow and processes, and update contracting templates and forms. Be a point of contact for legal matters and as a liaison to our global legal team.
- 10+ years of experience with complex enterprise Sales transactions related to SaaS or software products and services.
- Transactional drafting, negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Channels / Partners expertise in contracting related to the information technology business and several industry verticals.
- Good general management skills, management of legal workflow.
- Experience providing legal advice to senior management levels.
- Law Degree with excellent academic credentials. License and certification to practice law in good standing.
The salary range for this role will be between $215,000 to $250,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including your location, experience, education, and/or certifications. During the phone screening, the recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
