Job Description
The Business Management Manager supervises a team of experienced professionals that is responsible for providing strategic support for the assigned business area. As a team leader, this job oversees the execution of strategic business management consulting to leaders and is the central point of contact for the leaders in the execution of business management tasks. This job is responsible for setting goals and objectives for team members for the achievement of strategic business management consulting operational results.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Acts as a day-to-day technical/functional expert in assigned area and makes decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.
- Maintains and supports implementation of policies and procedures in support of the business area strategy.
- Implements process improvements for demographics and identifiers from the company's databases.
- Analyzes and reports on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics.
- Supports business management projects by monitoring and tracking risks, issues and action items.
- Influences the development of new strategic initiatives through tracking budgets and milestones.
- Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.
- Ensures strategic business management consulting policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.

The Head of Institutional Strategy & Execution will partner with our client facing teams and key business partners to build and drive the most critical priorities for Retirement Solutions and the enterprise. Key responsibilities for this role are understanding the problem to solve, identification of root cause analysis and then creating and executing the plan to improve and ensure adoption of the change. In addition, other priorities include stakeholder engagement, building and articulating the business case for change, driving change programs through the end to end project lifecycle, managing project resources effectively and partnering with our key business partners and subject matter experts across the B2B2C ecosystem, to ensure optimal future state design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Drive and facilitate end-to-end Institutional (B2B) strategy / roadmap creation to support the best possible solutions and outcomes for our Institutions and Participants.
- Works closely with all Institutional segments and Retirement Solutions Sales Enablement to develop and build out key critical strategies to achieve optimal Retirement Outcomes.
- Drive integration across the Institutional programs and coordination to stay ahead of all critical issues and decisions
- Achieve goals and priorities through collaboration with the Retirement Solutions leadership team.
- Coordinate across the Institutional (B2B) process to ensure timely access to critical information and to foster a success-oriented, accountable culture
- Delivering end to end business program and change management capabilities in partnership with key business subject matter experts.
- Provide oversight / lead the change execution / program management of Institutional (B2B) key initiatives.
- Leverage process skills to effectively document the problem to solve and lead root cause analysis / lean six sigma capabilities
- Creating feasibility analysis and business cases
- Creating and managing the integrated project plan
- Creating and executing the change management, communications, training and readiness plan to enable and drive deployment and adoption
- Documenting the measurement and control plan, as part of the transition to BAU
- Partnering with IT leads / project managers as part of the overall program team
- Drives overall team effectiveness and productivity by helping to drive change through culture and fostering positive team dynamics.

Base Pay Range: $177,200/yr. - $245,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
