Managing Director - Tax

Our newly created Tax department is looking to hire a Tax Director to join one of the fastest growing CPA firms in the US.  At Centri, we provide the highest quality advisory consulting services to our clients by being reliable and responsive to their needs. Our areas of expertise include financial reporting, internal controls, valuation services, technical accounting research, and CFO and HR Advisory services.  Our approach is to select team members with the appropriate experience to ensure that their fit within our clients’ organization is seamless.  This is a newly created Tax department and this Director will work directly with our Tax Partner to build, manage and deliver the highest quality Tax service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives evaluate alternative actions, and identify appropriate methods of complying with tax laws and regulations as well as the accounting requirements of ASC 740.
• Prepare, review, and manage the delivery of ASC 740 tax accounting projects including income tax footnotes and disclosures for U.S. GAAP financial statements for public and non-public clients; transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, and IPO’s;  and various consulting engagements.
• Assist with the growth of Centri’s Tax Advisory practice by developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans in accordance with the firm’s mission and vision with a commitment to always act as a trusted partner to our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Active CPA
• 12+ years of relative accounting experience; public accounting, a mixture of public and corporate tax, or professional services experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) and related tax accounting guidance.
