Manual Machinist

Chalmers & Kubeck, a family-owned and operated, fast-paced and service-oriented company is seeking aManual Machinistwith 2 or more years of experience to start immediately at our Aston, Pennsylvania facility. Our shop machines industrial equipment such as valves, pumps, turbines, heat exchangers and gearboxes. Our Manual Machinists are responsible for setting up and operating lathes, horizontal and vertical boring mills. RESPONSIBILITIES • Full-time position - 40 hours per week • Must be willing to work Monday - Friday day shift (7:30a - 4:00p) • Night Shift Rotation Required (4:00p - 12:30a) • Overtime when needed • Typically our busiest times of year or spring and fall when we work 60+ hours per week • Minimal Travel • Pass pre-employment drug test and ongoing random drug testing • Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license • Read, write and speak English fluently • Willing to undergo a background check QUALIFICATIONS Applicantsmustdemonstrate the following capabilities via their attached cover letter or resume: • Set up and operate machining equipment such as a lathes, milling machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal boring mills, saws, and surface grinders (2 years minimum. Successful applicants must demonstrate this experience on their resume) • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings • Reliably measure to within 0.0005 inches using analog micrometers (2 years required) • Inspect machined parts for quality - Identify and verify critical criteria - record critical dimensions on a dimensional record • Other duties as assigned BENEFITS • Hours over 40 in a week are at 1.5 x base pay rate • Sunday or holiday hours are at 2.0 x base pay rate • Night Shift hours at 1.1 x base pay rate • 401k with 5% employer match • Health insurance • Dental Insurance • Paid vacation Check out the exciting things we're up to atwww.candk.com.
