Manual Machinist

Jersey Village, TX: Flexicrew Technical Services is currently hiring for a CNC machinist with VTL and rotating equipment experience. Essential Duties: • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and programs to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. • Proficient in Utilization of basic hand and measuring tools, indicators is required • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills • Attention to detail Problem Solving Requirements/Skills: • Preparing and Operating Manual Machines for tasks like drilling, grinding and milling • Understands specifications – Be able read blueprints and mechanical drawings to grasp the task requirements and desired results • Converts instructions into computer commands and ensures machines perform the correct functions • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans and materials drawings • Takes inventory by checking stock to determine the raw material available, anticipated stock, and placing orders • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations. • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. • Maintains continuity among work shifts (if any) by documenting and communicating actions. • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
