Our Electrical Harness & Manufacturing team drives solutions for the real-time installation of flight harnessing, avionics, and instrumentation; from conceptual ideation to the final installation. You will conceptualize and deliver complex assemblies & systems. Your technical responsibilities vary from the design & development of new products, to supporting complex engineering challenges throughout the entire product lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities:

• Practice lifecycle ownership relative to your electrical integration
• Provide direct, shop-floor, engineering support for Dream Chaser's electrical & mechanical integration, testing, logistics, and launch phases.
• Work in tandem with design engineers from concept to final installation, driving continuous improvement.
• Prioritize industry standard, best-practice, and aerospace knowledge to drive well-thought, lean, and functional processes.
• Utilize cross-functional resources to drive immediate resolution and apply corrective action.
• Utilize team-based thinking, and excellent inter-personal skills to ideate with other subject matter experts, engineers, technicians to solve issues.
• Provide technical excellence to those around you through assistance, education, mentorship, and/or direct support.
• Support engineering documentation review and execution to include drafting, revising, alteration, and closure of nominal / off-nominal work instructions.

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in related engineering discipline and typically 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
• Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams

Preferred:

• Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $68,926.06 - $94,773.33. Sierra Space considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
