Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Manufacturing Plant Applications Support Lead with application maintenance and support experience. The position will primarily be responsible for providing support for the In-House product from customer's requirements. The selected candidate be able to provide user support, maintain and upgrade the applications. Develop new features and write test scripts. Troubleshoot the issues on the systems. Interact with customer process consultants and business SME to understand and analyze various processes. Derive automation opportunities and make recommendations from the product discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding. This position may require travel in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 Years of experience in Information Technology.

  • At least 2 years experience in Ignition, Scada and Jython
  • Experience in Manufacturing Plan Domain
  • Good understanding of Microsoft .Net Core, SQL Server, Azure Resources and Java

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manage day to day operations on the applications at plant site, regular interactions with Plant Leaders/Directors.
  • Experience in working with Local Union teams.
  • Understanding Health Safety Standards - in ensuring it is followed as well as implemented through IT Systems.
  • Understanding Manufacturing Terms and providing solution.
  • Working and Co-ordinating with the offshore teams along with Client Business Teams on implementing/onboarding new application or enhancements on existing applications.
  • Vendor management for the COTS applications.
  • Compliance and Data Security related queries, securities and check gates.
  • Conducting & Recording RA, User acceptance testing with Stakeholders using Rational DOORS.
  • Rollouts in Plants.
  • Review and perform Scripting Capabilities using Ignition uses Jython (Python 2.7) for scripting, enabling you to automate tasks, create custom functions, and interact with the Ignition platform's components.
  • Review and advice on architecture for dynamic and responsive control systems.
  • Plant Management Activities.

The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
