SHIFT: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm


SUMMARY: 

As the Weekend Production Lead you will be responsible for supervising machine operators in a manufacturing environment.  The Production Lead will work with the Production Supervisor to ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment is maintained, safety guidelines are followed, and production goals are met.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule the production jobs in the morning.
  • Conduct morning meetings.
  • Audit First and Last off’s daily.
  • Daily audit of processes.
    • Monitor production quality and awareness of procedures and alerts.
    • Monitor training matrix to verify the operator is properly trained to run the cell.
    • Monitor safety checks are being performed.
    • Monitor traceability is being recorded.
  • Daily audit of production reporting (Check production papers and fill out white boards hourly for your responsible cells).
  • Monitor operator’s efficiency and ability to fill out production reporting properly.
  • Record hourly counts on white board.
  • Monitor downtime and manage diverted time.
  • Audit Standardised Work Instructions and make sure operators are performing them effectively and correctly.
  • Coach and Train operators to meet production goals.
  • Prepare for the next shift, including proper handoff
  • End of shift paperwork. 
  • Other duties as assigned 


JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years lead and/or supervisory experience
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal. Must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to plan and organise; good time management skills. 
  • Ability to retain information (e.g., policies, procedures) or find it as needed. 
  • Problem solving ability. 
  • Ability to operate under pressure of deadlines, fast-paced environment
  • Cooperative, team oriented, patient, calm under pressure, and able to work independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will generally be housed in a shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required.
