Manufacturing Scheduler

Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Scheduler reporting to the Supervisor of Supply Chain, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Hawthorne location. As a manufacturing scheduler, you would utilize your skills and experience in a quick turn-low volume environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Create and implement a schedule that is easily followed by the manufacturing shop floor 
• Oversee the scheduling of resources and collaborate closely with the operations team to meet demanding timelines, all the while ensuring clear and timely communication of anticipated completion dates to clients
• Create daily work plans, monitor task advancement, revise and convey crucial project timeline schedules, and inform leadership about necessary adaptations to daily work operations
• Partake in master scheduling discussions with the engineering, planning team and shop floor
• Apply understanding of both preceding and subsequent work areas to enhance communication and streamline operational effectiveness
• Communicate the daily priorities to manufacturing coordinators, team leads and supervisors as required
• Report daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of manufacturing scheduling experience or 5+ years of scheduling experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with MS Office
• 10+ years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience writing queries with SQL

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
