Who we are looking for
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team and manage our manufacturing operations, process improvement, and overall quality. The Manufacturing Shift Supervisor plays a vital role as this position will oversee daily operations of our final assembly facilities, from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed for Ryvid, Inc. (the "Company"). This position will be required to qualify as Duty Plant Manager within one year of the start of your employment date to enable you to supervise the entire plant in the absence of the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager. You will direct, organize, and run the optimum operations of the assembly facility daily as directed by the Plant Manager. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding and overview of the manufacturing industry, such as equipment use, and mechanical aptitude, and present this knowledge, not only to your team but to the Plant Manager as well. This position will help oversee the initial startup of Ryvid's San Bernardino plant setup and will also oversee and monitor individual sections of operations. The Company's people are its top priority, the Shift Supervisor will ensure production runs safely and meets deadlines. This role will report directly to the Plant Manager and work in cohesion with the Operations and Engineering teams as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations
  • Be responsible for inventory management, production output, product quality, and on-time completion & shipping
  • Coordinate safety meetings, and critiques, provide training and lead internal inspections that foster CAL OSHA awareness
  • Utilize Kaizen principles to realize immediate benefits and set a foundation for a continuous improvement environment
  • Execution of the TPM system
  • Execute the TPM program and process for final assemblers
  • Provide feedback to management to improve plant efficiency and increase plant capacity
  • Monitor operations and trigger critique and corrective actions
  • Cultivate a trusting relationship with leadership and assembly teams
  • Commit to plant safety procedures
  • Oversee maintenance procedures and implement preventive maintenance systems in accordance with all plant equipment operation manuals and procedures
  • Implement systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Address employees' issues or grievances
  • Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts
  • Enforce health and safety protocols during all stages of production
  • Oversee operations to ensure safety
  • Implement plans that help operations run smoothly
  • Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
  • Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement and training as needed
  • Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment
  • Create and maintain a production schedule
  • Find ways to reduce production costs
  • Report and assist in resolving any concerns voiced by employees

Requirements:
  • Associates Degree preferred; 8+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education
  • Shift Supervision or Section Leader of a plant with more than 500 workers preferred
  • Strong experience within a manufacturing environment required
  • Formalized CI training and responsibility are strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of operation supervision experience
  • Self-motivation, independent work habits
