Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor, along with the Production Manager, directs and manages all plant production operations while also driving continuous improvement and optimization of production operation processes. The Supervisor role is a critical function in plant operations in meeting safety, quality, fulfillment and cost targets. This is an A-Shift opening (M-Th, 5:30am - 5pm).

What You’ll Do: 

• Oversees activities of rug production including rug cutting, sewing, quality inspection, packaging, and fulfillment
• Establish operational procedures (SOPs) for all production operations for continuous process improvement
• Become an expert on all parts of the production process and help out as needed
• Train, coach and schedule production operators
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of production activities with other functions such as warehouse, printing operations, replenishment
• Manage hours for cost per rug and prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment
• Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities while driving plant safety culture
• Audit 6S of production floor and hold employees accountable for their areas of responsibility
• Allocate resources effectively, fully utilize assets to produce optimal results, and trigger corrective actions when necessary
• Prepare monthly reports by developing, collecting and analyzing production data to reduce inefficiencies and increase throughput without reducing quality

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• Ability to work our A-shift schedule from 5:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday
• Proven work experience as a Production Lead/Supervisor; managerial experience a must
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing field and supervisory experience required
• Strong sense of ownership in your work
• Ability to use data to generate actions that positively impact production outcomes
• Production Supervisor competencies - training, resource allocation, and “sense of urgency”
• Strong interpersonal skills, addressing complaints/resolving problems, rewarding/disciplining employees, and appraising performance
• Ability to create and work in collaborative group environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel

Compensation:

$50-65k per year base salary

• An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
• Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
