Job Purpose

Join a highly skilled team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Manufacturing Technician II. Work on the production and in-process testing of in-vitro diagnostic kits, ensuring equipment maintenance is completed. Follow standard operating procedures to deliver high-quality products on time.

Communication

Internal: You'll collaborate with department managers, supervisors, team leads, specialists, Quality Engineering, Technical Support, Materials Handling team, Quality Auditors, and Engineering to ensure seamless operations.

External: You'll interact with auditors to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

Role Complexity

  • Employ the necessary equipment confidently, ensuring their calibration and functionality are maintained.
  • Maintain company standards for working environments.
  • Use the ERP system for logging progress, inventory transactions, and document management.
  • Collaborate with your team to complete manufacturing processes.
  • Complete all records and worksheets clearly and accurately, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all performed tasks through training records.

Decision Making

  • Plan and prioritize workload effectively with support from your line manager.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance activities for assigned equipment, documenting failures and taking appropriate action.

Impact

  • Understand the consequences of not meeting product/process standards.
  • Ensure all documentation meets company standards.
  • Provide a 1st person PASS/FAIL signature on manufacturing and maintenance worksheets.
  • Perform 2nd-person calculation checks and data transfer checks for team members

Freedom to Act

  • Work from a guided work-list with input into scheduling your tasks.
  • Perform designated tasks under supervision, adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
  • Always follow company procedures and policies.
