Job Description
Bungie is looking for a Principal Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market planning for Marathon. This role reports into the Global Franchise Director of Marathon and will be the primary marketing point of contact that leads a team of marketers and best-in-class agencies to build our go-to-market strategy and bring it to life. Success in this role will require proven experience building innovative go-to-market (GTM) campaigns for AAA of live service video games that weren’t afraid to question the status quo and left a mark on culture.
This role will work as the key marketing point of contact leading our go-to-market plans across Bungie, Sony, and our best-in-class agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the go-to-market (GTM) planning for Marathon Build innovative, first-of-their-kind marketing campaigns that break into the cultural zeitgeist, constantly raise the creative bar, and drive player action
- Develop messaging frameworks for release and seasonal content updates
- Be the key point of contact across publishing and development, guiding cross-team collaboration for cohesive, integrated campaign strategies and plans
- Be a partner in product strategy, working closely with Product and Martech to advise on market potential, pricing, in-game commerce and lifecycle marketing
- Be a partner in user research, working closely with Research to build studies to validate audience, segmentation, marketing collateral and messaging
- Set goals and key results for Marathon’s marketing efforts, partnering with Analytics to develop measurement plans, reports and action on results
- Identify, collaborate, and lead best-in-class agencies working on Marathon’s marketing efforts and go-to-market planning
- Manage and mentor a team of marketers
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Lead go-to-market planning for shipped AAA or live service games
- Strong opinion and understanding of the live service shooter market and latest gaming and entertainment trends & technologies
- Created innovative marketing campaigns and breakthrough cultural moments
- Expertise in a diverse set of marketing disciplines (growth, analytics, lifecycle, creative, social, creators)
- Worked with creative, community, product, and channel-focused leaders across publishing and development
- Experience working with best-in-class marketing agencies and production houses
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a high attention to detail

- International go-to-market experience
- Interest in AI advancements

- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
