Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to take the lead in growing our Mining business in the EMEA region as Market Development Manager.

This role can be based in any country in Europe or Middle East where Sika operates, with regular travel across the region (approximately 50% of working time).
- Capability to support technically all mining related applications, eg. Shotcrete, concrete, fibers. Additional experience in water proofing, coating systems, and refurbishment would be beneficial.
- Training and marketing: Conduct training sessions for Sika staff and customers, prepare standard presentations on Mining processes and technologies, and provide input on marketing actions to promote Mining products and strategies.
- Implement together with the different stakeholders the EMEA Mining strategy in the region to support the countries by implementing a roadmap and roll-out in the different areas / countries
- Sales Support: assist in increasing sales through project acquisition and relationship building with new and existing customers, positioning Sika as a reliable partner in the Mining sector.
- Support selected focus countries in defining and deploying action plans to develop the Mining business to the next level, increasing sales and market penetration.
- Identify main decision makers at EMEA level and key accounts to be developed under a detailed account plan (key owners, key specifiers, international contractors, relevant authorities, etc.).
- Participation to congresses/ exhibitions to support local sales teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Mining-, Chemical- or Civil-Engineering, or similar education
- 5 years extensive underground & quarry experience in the mining Industry
- In depth knowledge of all mining related applications Shotcrete, concrete, fibers. Additional experience in water proofing, coating systems, and refurbishment would be beneficial
- Very good understanding of mining and ability to meet customer needs
- Proven experience in executing complex projects as part of matrix organization and working with multi-cultural, remote teams.
- High ability to learn new products and its application
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills and ability to motivate and engage others
- Flexible for regional travels in the area (approx. 50% of the working time)
