Market Engagement Manager
Job Description
Resource Innovations is seeking a Market Engagement Manager to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, UT to support our work with local utility efficiency programs.
As a Customer Engagement Manager with Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for engaging customers to participate in utility-sponsored energy-efficiency programs by choosing energy-efficient equipment and processes in their commercial facilities. The Customer Engagement manager will also be focused on all building components other than lighting equipment and will be expected to engage with customers of all sizes. The utility programs offer incentives and rebates to support energy-efficient choices. A successful Market Engagement Manager must have solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, Envelope, Food Service, Controls, etc) and be able to speak to those systems and the utility energy-efficiency programs. The Market Engagement Manager will use interpersonal skills and technical knowledge to train, educate, and engage customers to participate in Utility programs and offerings.
Specific responsibilities will include: customer new construction and retrofit efficiency project discovery and rebate application acquisition, contacting customers to conduct introductions to efficiency equipment and available rebates/incentives, ensuring program tariff compliance, supporting the generation of forecasting reports and performance reports, becoming well-versed in the Utility Programs, fielding phone calls and responding to emails from vendor and customer inquiries regarding project applications and/or participation in the incentive programs, supporting the submission of project details over to the project coordination team for completion of incentive/rebate applications, assisting with obtaining customer and project information, supporting the submission of projects for processing on behalf of the customer.
Additionally, as a Market Engagement Manager for Resource Innovations, you will regularly attend meetings with customers to help introduce, support and/or train them on program requirements and application completion. Responsibilities may also include, equipment and technology review and research, as well as attending industry events and trainings.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies and engages with eligible customers.
- Supports customer participation and their incentive/rebate application process
- Actively tracks customer engagements and interactions using Sales Force customer management software
- Thinks "big-picture" and supports the goal to influence customers to be energy efficient.
- Provides out-of-the-box ideas and solutions to promote growth.
- Encourages and assists customers participating in utility programs.
- Uses time effectively to obtain appropriate customer project information that facilitates quick and timely project application submission.
- Is available and responsive to your team, delivers what you promise, and hears what the customer is saying which includes:
- Returning customer phone calls within 24 hours
- Competently understand the Utility Energy Efficiency Programs and required paperwork to apply for incentives and rebates.
- Effectively screen and manage customer project leads to ensure savings targets are met, and compliance with program requirements.
- Work collaboratively and communicate well with the Project Coordination Team during the project discovery/acquisition process to ensure good communication resulting in a smooth and efficient project handoff
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience in either HVAC design, building controls, or identifying, selling, and implementing energy efficiency improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate energy savings, return on investment, and payback for efficiency projects
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze mechanical and electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities including; HVAC, lighting, motors, compressed air, refrigeration
