Position Summary

Provides expert content and professional leadership on complex Strategic Planning assignments/projects. Responsible for advanced analyses and competitive research to inform the company's strategic plan. Performs research, quantitative analysis and modeling used in competitive analysis for market segmentation and sales opportunities. The position must have an in depth understanding of the competitive landscape in the company's various businesses including PBM, Pharmacy, and the emerging Care Delivery and Care management areas. Creates presentation materials and may present business issues to management and business unit heads. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Strategic Planning but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

Essential Functions
  • Performs market segment competitive intelligence research and analysis to evaluate emerging opportunities
  • Owns multiple competitive intelligence functions including the enterprise Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process, various standard reporting artifacts, and quarterly monitoring of key competitor earnings calls
  • Develops models to articulate market size, participant market share, growth rates, and opportunity sizing across a range of Evernorth businesses
  • Creates artifacts to effectively articulate market events and their business impact for communication to relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in supporting go-to-market teams with competitive insights helping them to win in competitive bid processes
  • Acts as a consultant by bringing an outside-in view to consultant with leaders across the business and drive strategic thinking


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of business analysis work preferably in insurance or healthcare services sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Must be a self-starter, able to plan and lead work efforts
  • Experienced in business analysis techniques such public domain research, data modeling, and financial modeling
  • Excellent PC skills - including Excel, PowerPoint and Word


For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $89,500 - $149,100, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
