The Role:
Carrot is seeking a Market Intelligence Manager who has a passion for all things healthcare. In this role, you will drive research and analysis that uncovers buyer and market trends, work cross-functionally on our overall employer and health plan strategy, and inform positioning that generates demand.Â
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and monitor sources of information on competitors, market needs/opportunities, and trends.
- Conduct market research to answer critical questions not addressable through existing resourcesÂ
- Keep commercial, marketing, and product leaders in the know about critical market trends and buyer needs. This will include preparing and presenting reports on a regular cadence, as well as providing ad hoc intelligence to advise strategic initiatives.Â
- Support impactful, differentiated positioning and messaging in partnership with the Product Marketing Managers
- Collaborate with our broader Marketing team to develop buyer personas and inform marketing programs such as ABM campaignsÂ
- Closely collaborate with the Sales Strategy and Operations teams on analyzing insights from the field (e.g., RFPs, calls, Salesforce)
The Team:Â
This person will be part of Carrot’s Product Marketing team, within the Brand organization. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional team that focuses on product launch strategy, positioning and messaging, and competitive/market intelligence. The role also involves frequent collaboration across our Marketing, Commercial, Customer Success, and Product organizations.Â
Minimum Qualifications:Â
- 4+ years in designing, executing, and analyzing market intelligence initiatives including competitor insights, market trends, and quantitative/qualitative market researchÂ
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Includes the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and verbal formats plus comfort communicating with senior leaders.
- Success in cross-functional collaboration. Includes demonstrated ability to execute complex project plans involving multiple teams, build strong partnerships, and influence cross-functional initiatives. Â
- Strong track record of generating actionable insights that translated to impact on the product roadmap, marketing strategy, or commercial strategy
- Comfort with the ambiguity inherent in a fast-paced startup environment. Self-starter with a passion for continuously learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with quantitative analysis or data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Tableau, Excel)
- Experience with competitive intelligence tools
- Experience with healthcare and benefits is strongly preferred
Compensation:
Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $93,000 - $128,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
