General Summary

The Market Intelligence Manager analyzes market trends, conditions, regulations, products, and customers to help inform strategic decisions across Advarra. They will make recommendations to leadership and other internal stakeholders on ways to leverage market and competitive intelligence and will coordinate initiatives that support and guide strategic and tactical decision making.

This is a hybrid role based in either our Wellesley, MA or Columbia, MD offices.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor market news and conditions as well as trends, investments, and organizational changes
  • Gather information on competitors and conduct analysis on their offerings, sales, prices, and methods and effectiveness of marketing to identify gaps in Advarra product and service offerings
  • Support VOC efforts across the business in the form of surveys, customer interviews, and customer advisory boards to understand problems, needs, and how to position Advarra to maximize customer value
  • Develop and manage an information repository to house both market and customer data that can be leveraged cross-functionally
  • Establish and organize regular cadence of information gathering, reporting, and information dissemination and create SOPs for each process to drive consistency
  • Synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data from multiple inputs and sources to provide analysis and recommendations
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders including executive leadership

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in management consulting, data sciences, life sciences and/or healthcare is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and synthesize information in a structured manner
  • Ability to articulate and present key insights and recommendations using modern visualization tools
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse range of departments including Commercial, Product Management, Customer Success and Marketing
  • Effective organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience with market research methodologies and techniques and proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Pendo

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding and speaking
