The Operations Analyst/Sr Analyst will work to ensure data accuracy and integrity across multiple platforms. The position will support market and settlement data needs for multiple groups. In addition to this position will play a key role in existing and future digitalization and automation projects. This position will have a strong understanding of AES Clean Energy's assets and products and be a capable communicator and team player. The position must have the ability to bridge the communication gap between various stakeholders. This position will report to the Manager of Complex Settlements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary interface between operations/settlements/commercial groups and various applications.
  • Responsible for data accuracy and completeness throughout the data matrix.
  • Focal point with application vendor to resolve and implement system changes, revisions, corrections.
  • Responsible for testing and implementation of market protocol/tariff changes into existing process flows and systems.
  • Works to integrate new market entries as well as agreements that do not have existing processes.
  • Work to automate/improve processes for scalability and efficiency utilizing available tools and resources.
  • Work to ensure all existing and future process meet control and compliance requirements and assist with audit data request.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of energy commodity transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS, other areas may be considered.
  • Understanding of RTO/ISO rules, procedures, and data flows.
  • Comfortable pulling and analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Ability to understand database structures and data.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Energy industry. 5+ years for Sr Analyst
  • Experience working with Energy trading, scheduling, operations.
  • Experience with ETRM and Bid-to-Bill systems Adapt2/Allegro preferred.
  • Understanding of end-to-end energy market/process
  • Office Products experience with intermediate/advanced EXCEL skills.
  • This is a remote position, however, we require that the candidate be located within the US territory.
