Market Research Analyst

Summary 
 
The Research/Data Analyst role at S4 Market data will support the firm market data and investment product research and function. The role will be responsible for reviewing market data and investment products and documenting features/benefits for our clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role be able to work as part of a team but also independently.

Responsibilities 

• Perform Product and Market research on market data and investment/trading products.

• Support the internal processes for product research and outreach.

• Research and provide product evaluations for management review and client newsletters.

• Work closely with management to evaluate products and trial/demo them for clients / additional knowledge and archiving.

• Stay up to date with the latest technological features including but not limited to programing, APIs, AI, etc. 

• Work with management to support internal tools and products and infrastructure.

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in similar industry or role.

• 1-3 years of experience in investment consulting or academic research institutions. 

• Deep understanding of econometrics, mathematics, and hands-on programming skills along with a passion for investing in the financial markets 

• Strong Data Science, Data Visualization skills. Proficiency with programming languages and statistical software (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, VBA, Tableau) preferred 

• Ability to think independently with good economic intuition as well as strong presentation and communication skills
