Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator's primary role is to promote the communications output within the company in compliance with the strategic plan supporting the company brand through marketing, advertising, and promotional activities. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator serves as a liaison with media and advertising companies and is also responsible for market research that assists the Business Development Managers in their daily activity. This position also serves as a support role to business development for community networking activities and client contact when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes and implements strategic plans and objectives supporting the marketing department and business development managers with branding efforts of the company, in conjunction with and in support of the firm's professionals by evaluating market conditions, trends, and competition.
- Create company literature and other forms of communication ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date for all corporate materials
- Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
- Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
- Determines the most effective channels for meeting marketing and communications objectives, including useful forms of digital and traditional media and implements appropriate distribution of information.
- Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions,
- Proofread, edit, and revise communications.
- Design and launch email marketing campaigns.
- Support corporate & employee communication activities through internal newsletter content development.
- Maintain all ongoing branding efforts of the company such as the website, contact lists, social media blogs, e-templates, executive bios, and client references.
- Promote products and services through public relations initiatives such as developing and producing corporate award submissions.
- Develop marketing communications campaigns for existing clients, potential clients, and internal needs.
- Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references.
- Develop fresh public relations ideas - i.e. securing speaking roles at tradeshows, events, and conferences.
- Assists Executives and Business Development Managers in coordination of external corporate events such as conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, topping outs and tournaments.
- Collaborates with Production and Business Development Managers to design exhibits, graphics, and marketing material for events.
- Maintains event related equipment and materials.
- Research and recommend promotional items.
- Prepare agendas and conduct research for Executives and Business Development Managers for external events including researching sites and facilities for meetings, contract negotiations, and logistics.
- Participate in corporate presentations as necessary.
- Assist in business development activities as required by the Business Development Managers providing support for networking, community involvement, and client contact.
- Understand and utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library
- Participate in ongoing training efforts
- Ensure workplace safety. Report issues to project team immediately
- Performs other functions as requested of them
- Ensure client needs are exceeded throughout the course of delivery
