Summary

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the development of a strategic communications program and executing program elements including advertising initiatives, marketing content, managing tradeshows and promotional activities and building the brand.

What you'll do

  • Support the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the analysis of marketing and communications needs, and trend and market analysis for new and existing initiatives.
  • Develop strategic marketing and communication concepts and work out implementation plans for both internal and external audiences, including branding, strategic messaging, media design, websites, social media, promotional activities, digital and traditional marketing, print collateral, media relations, public relations, photo/video media, trade shows, etc.
  • Create, implement, and manage multiple marketing and communications initiatives to meet organizational and audience needs, including identifying and implementing appropriate delivery methods.
  • Research, create, and edit original content on a wide range of internal and external activities for all delivery modes including digital, print, press releases, presentations, exhibits, event materials, newsletters, advertising, etc.
  • Work closely with other team members in the coordination and implementation of marketing and communication efforts with other strategic initiatives such as recruiting, training development, and customer engagement.
  • Act as regional contact person to Corporate Headquarters for all communication and marketing related matters
  • Media contact for countries within the region and spokesperson role in close alignment with Corporate Headquarters
  • Implement brand strategy.
  • Create, implement, and manage digital marketing and social media initiatives/campaigns.
  • Create and manage a digital editorial calendar for web, social media, and email marketing campaigns and publishing schedules.
  • Manage paid digital marketing initiatives and budgets, and make recommendations to increase effectiveness and optimize performance.
  • Track digital marketing, website, and social media analytics; analyze the effectiveness of efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders like government bodies and associations
  • Ensure effective internal communications to all employees within the region and support local implementation of internal campaigns

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in communications, PR, marketing or related field.
  • Experience with digital platforms, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in B2B industry, preferably steel, plant construction or manufacturing industry
  • Experience developing and executing marketing and communications strategies for internal and external audiences utilizing a full range of multi-media, digital, and traditional channels.
  • Experience in paid marketing channels and technologies (Google AdWords, social media advertising, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of branding development and standards, style guidelines, digital and print collateral requirements, and related processes.
  • Strong writing/editing skills; ability to gather and create information for delivery via multiple digital channels.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent analytical/organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High degree of creativity, initiative, result orientation, ability to work under pressure and motivation.
