Marketing & Communications Specialist

 

Hive Group is a rapidly growing SDVOSB HUBZone small business providing management consulting support to government clients. We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer/Editor to join our dynamic team. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for providing quality reviews of various acquisition packages and editing technical requirements documents.

Position Responsibilities

  • Aid in development of brand strategy and materials including but not limited to graphics, creative writing, presentations, and press releases
  • Support strategic communications efforts for GSA including but not limited to awards applications, social media marketing, identifying thought leadership opportunities, collegiate advertising for our intern program, updating the website with relevant news, and supporting internal communications
  • Proofread documents and recommend revisions or changes in content and format (e.g., font selection, font size and presentation, spacing, margins, alignment, columns, indentation, and lists).
  • Identify and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.
  • Support strategic communications efforts for GSA including but not limited to awards applications, social media marketing, identifying thought leadership opportunities, collegiate advertising for our intern program, updating the website with relevant news, and supporting internal communications
  • Support the business development and proposal functions of the company by reviewing messaging, creating visual illustrations of concepts, proof points, etc.
  • Support philanthropic efforts by developing messaging and content aimed to promote the cause, promote participation in corporate events, and resulting impact

 

Job Qualifications:

Required

  • Highly detail-oriented individual
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and related programs
  • Excellent computer and word processing skills
  • 2-5 years of experience with graphic design, and AP/Journalistic writing
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred

  • Experience with Government Acquisitions
  • Experience drafting, editing, or reviewing acquisition packages
  • Knowledge of FAR regulations
