The Company: MLG Capital

The Marketing and Event Manager will be responsible for leading internal and external events, social media management, the creation and maintenance of quarterly marketing documents, contribute to overall public relations strategy with external partner, and be a key contributor in generating financial educational content on alternative investments in private real estate. The ideal candidate will be a project management champion who can effectively coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously while working across multiple business lines. This person will excel in our growing team if they have industry experience in Finance, Investment Management or Alternative Investment Management.

This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President and sit on the MLG Marketing Committee and Public Relations (PR) Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the Social Affairs Committee (SAC), MLG's internal and external event planning committee
  • Heavy contributor to MLG's internal committees, Marketing Committee and PR Committee, to execute all marketing and public relations strategies
  • Plan, organize, and execute internal and external events
  • Coordinate and manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and analysis.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations - both digital and print.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for events
  • Track and analyze event and marketing campaign performance metrics
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and event materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. Finance attributes or secondary major a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in event planning, marketing, or related field
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media management and content creation platforms (Hootsuite, Canva, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience within the Salesforce ecosystem a plus
  • Experience with marketing automation tools is a plus
  • Experience with marketing roles in investment management, alternative investments, or financial industries a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Location: Headquarters - Brookfield, WI

Physical Requirements: Ability to operate office machinery; including but not limited to: telephone, computer, copy machine, fax machine, printer, and mobile phone.

Working Conditions: Open work area, moderate to quiet noise levels.
