ABOUT BIOACTIVES
Bioactives are small molecule compounds produced by plants, fungi, and microbes that are essential for their survival. Bioactives also benefit the health of humans – they are the enlivening caffeine in tea, the powerful antioxidant lycopene in tomatoes or curcumin in turmeric, and they are the active ingredients in medicines like Taxol, aspirin and Metformin Science has long known that bioactives are critical to human health, yet the vast majority remain unknown and uncharted – often referred to as the “dark matter” of nutrition. Brightseed’s A.I., Forager®, discovers bioactives in nature and maps them to human health outcomes at a rate and accuracy that was previously impossible.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Brightseed is seeking a Marketing Associate to execute our B2B marketing plans and support our sales efforts by bringing our brand, technology, and product portfolio to life digitally and at trade shows. You will report to the Senior Director, Product Marketing and Insights, and interact regularly with the commercial and technical teams to drive greater interest in Brightseed and engagement across key audiences and stakeholders. Your work will help shepherd Brightseed as we become a global thought leader at the intersection of scientific discovery, the natural world, and human health.

The ideal candidate is a versatile marketer eager to take on diverse projects in a fast-moving company entering its next phase of growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the co-development and execution of all content required for launching our bioactives pipeline of products. You must be an excellent communicator, curious about science, digitally savvy, and the type of person who makes things happen.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
- Collaborate with the PR & Marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas that align with our brand, products and messaging.
- Generate Bioactive ingredient product marketing assets for multiple channels including email, social, and tradeshows.
- Own editorial and publishing platforms, ensuring our voice breaks through the clutter and reaches target B2B audiences in compelling and scientifically accurate ways.
- Manage the content and performance of the website, newsroom, and social channels.
- Work closely with technical groups and translate complex data and results into relevant commercial insights and marketing messages.
- Work closely with external vendors/agencies for specialized design needs.
- Manage and support the creation and execution of a compelling library of photos, videos, infographics, and other custom visuals.
- Continuously update and improve existing social media and presentation templates, in line with brand guidelines, to enhance their usability and effectiveness.
- Maintain conference calendar, support the planning and execution of all aspects of our participation in conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions, and manage team attendance.
- Partner with Sales team to develop customer-facing content and presentations for sell-in.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Progressive experience in B2B marketing, communications, PR, or a related field; pharma, consumer health, CPG, or personal care preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, experience creating assets with visual impact.
- Strong storytelling and presentation building skills.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape and the capabilities of each channel.
- Solid grasp of digital marketing, basic fluency in social media metrics and SEO principles.
- Cross-functional working style; you’ll navigate across diverse internal and external teams.
- Affinity for cutting-edge science, technology, and the power of the natural world.
- Strong interpersonal, influence, communication and presentation skills to represent Brightseed’s value proposition and mission.
- Desire to work with a mission first, fast paced biotech, focused on connecting nature to health.
