Marketing Automation Manager
Job Description
As the Marketing Automation Manager at Cambria, you will leverage your experience as a seasoned digital marketer to design, build and execute marketing automation workflows across email, text and personalized web experiences to drive engagement, conversions, and lead capture. This responsibility includes building campaigns, maintaining communication calendars, and performing ongoing reporting. You will fully own the execution management, effectiveness, and accuracy of all communication campaigns and lead capture mechanisms to maximize and scale customer engagement and audience growth.
As both a quantitative and creative team player, you'll lead the way running incremental copy tests, gleaning insights, and applying learnings to optimize conversions, improve return and scale growth of the email channel. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make significant impact across Cambria Digital, Marketing and Sales departments.
Partnering with marketing brand, events, channel and product teams, you will understand the needs of our marketers and our core customers while bringing to the table deep subject matter expertise in email marketing, multi-step automation, methodology, processes, and best practices. With this understanding, you will leverage SaaS marketing technology to deliver solutions that create marketing efficiencies and entirely new ways to reach our Cambria audience at scale.
Our ideal candidate is a well-versed leader in direct-response email marketing, understands the importance of defining/leveraging customer journeys to better reach our audience, and is highly analytical and committed to data-driven decisions. He/she has experience with technology solution change management, navigating technical constraints, and establishing frameworks to prioritize features and measure success
The Marketing Automation Manager will collaborate and report to the Sr Director of Digital Marketing, cohesively executing on cross-departmental initiatives to continually support the improvement and scalability of key campaign KPIs and customer retention goals. This role will create, implement, track, and analyze all email campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and implement the strategic marketing automation road map, supporting brand marketing calendar, while focusing on acquisition, engagement and customer loyalty, for both B2C and B2B audiences.
- Manage deployment of direct email marketing campaigns and other direct communication campaigns (e.g. texting campaigns, personalization campaigns). This includes inferring from copy performance new angles and working with copywriters to continually develop, test, report on email creatives, subject lines, building email lists, and more.
- Identify market industry trends and collect consumer insights to inform marketing strategy.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for further audience targeting and segmentation.
- Lead strategic direction and development of all customer & lead trigger based journeys to articulate the intended customer experience, increase customer LTV, and continually grow customer engagement through marketing automation tactics.
- Manage and oversee ongoing optimization of email campaigns through preparation of A/B test plans and execution of multivariate testing.
- Ensure all email campaigns comply with current email best practices in the industry.
- Ensure prompt, accurate, and error-free communication in all campaigns.
- Monitor and oversee email deliverability performance and ensure ongoing best practices.
- Define and execute strategies to grow Cambria email lists.
- Understand and follow all legal and regulatory requirements for data and campaign management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Past experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics; Experience implementing marketing automation solutions is desired
- Experience with technology solution change management, navigating technical constraints, and establishing frameworks to prioritize features and measure success
- Ability to lead, work autonomously, as well as collaborate with a team
- Must be organized, detailed oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple stakeholders, facilitate discussion, navigate ambiguity, and guide cross-functional alignment
- Account Based Marketing experience is a big plus
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience: 5 Years proven experience with Marketing Automation SaaS Solutions - preferably Marketo
Systems: Marketo or equivalent, Shopify, AWS, AEM

Managerial Responsibilities: Yes
Travel Requirements: Limited travel regionally and nationally
Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use.
