Job Description

As Range Area Marketing & Communication Communicator (MCC) you are responsible for creating and securing high quality communication content for a specific product area within Food Services, for all consumer facing touchpoints such as our IKEA stores and IKEA.com, with the ambition to turn IKEA visitors into customers. Maximizing the sales of Food Services can be complex and challenging and here you as MCC play an important role for the IKEA customer and are responsible for crucial communication supporting our consumers in the buying journey. As MCC you use insights to identify and define communication needs and you create the right pre-conditions for customers to understand, compare and choose the right product. MCC is responsible for identifying the need of communication content presented on product information pages at IKEA.com e.g. films, images, product stories and texts for the product areas you are responsible for. You analyze, brief, order and approve communication content according to budget and time plan. You lead and work on operational assignment, contributing to Tactics and strategic assignment. The BA M&C Communicator is part of the Commercial function and reports to the Commercial Manager.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in the role you need to have a strong knowledge and passion in the marketing and communication field as well as experience in brand and marketing management. You have a deep interest in product development and creating solutions for a better everyday life for the many people and you are passionate about making the IKEA vision come true in every product. You have excellent communication skills, passion for home furnishing and life at home and the ability to use communication as a strategic tool. You are a true ambassador of the IKEA culture and values and you are fluent in English, both spoken and written! 

Experience of working in IKEA Retail – working with marketing and/or communication in a Service office or a background from marketing function in a retail landscape is welcome. 

Other things we feel are important; 

• You have an academic degree in Marketing, Media and Communication or equivalent. 
• Experience from working within the field of digital communication, social media, SEO and customer behavior online is highly valued. 
• You have experience from leading communication plans and its execution and delivering communication contents according to budget and time plan.
• You have knowledge about competitors, market trends and consumer behavior and you have an excellent ability to develop a strong and commercial customer meeting through communication and follow up on business impact.
• You are analytical, structured and have a holistic view, yet an eye on the details. 
• You have a proactive attitude in problem solving and you are guided by simplicity and always strive to exceed expectations by delivering high quality communication
• You are an initiator and you have the ability to network cross functions and organizations.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the ability to juggle competing priorities when receiving assignments with tight deadlines. 
• It is an advantage if you have experience in Adobe Creative Cloud 
• You are a true team-player.
