Assist the firm's attorneys and Practice Development Managers (PDMs) in developing off-the-shelf materials and targeted client communications to be used for marketing and new-business collateral, and on the firm's website.

Under the guidance of the firm’s Senior Marketing Editorial Manager, as well as other Marketing Department leadership, this position will help supervise the writing, development, production and distribution of firm marketing materials and assist with projects managed by the Marketing Communications function.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise the daily workflow of marketing communications requests for written materials from attorneys and PDMs, including requests for original content, event electronic invitations and announcements, charitable and program ads, practice area descriptions, infographics, conference "show sheets" and other marketing collateral, as well as HK Today stories and "You Need to Know" profiles posted to the firm's intranet.
  • Work with Marketing staff and attorneys to develop and update practice group content and related dynamic pages on the Holland & Knight intranet and public websites; help maintain overall content integrity of www.hklaw.com.
  • Supervise the production of content for attorney biographies, newsletters, alerts and white papers. Draft, edit, proofread and coordinate distribution of various Marketing Department print and electronic publications.
  • Supervise Marketing Communications staff in certain daily activities and is in charge of the Marketing Communications team when the Senior Marketing Editorial Manager is absent.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including feature writing styles and corporate style guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Six or more years law firm or other professional services marketing or communications experience.
  • Experience managing an editorial team.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience and working skills with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Experience with document management systems and design software a plus.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Major in Communications, English or Journalism preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
