Marketing Communications Specialist

The Marketing Communications Specialist will support the Simformotion marketing team and the SimScholars curriculum writer on curriculum projects including editing, proofing, content creation and supporting marketing strategies. Must be a strong writer with an understanding of technology and a passion to constantly learn.

• Help plan, write, edit and proof curriculum for multiple products targeted to educational institutions and private industry. Research material, find sources, and work with subject matter experts. Curriculums are a 1:1 match to Cat Simulators.
• Write case studies, white papers, newsletter content and marketing content as needed/requested.
• Conduct and write interviews/testimonials with SimScholars customers.
• Support curriculum customers by explaining and helping them use the product in classrooms or training programs.
• Ability to learn new technology, including the LMS platform.
• Assess multiple types of analytics and data.
• Ensure that messages are supportive of, and consistent with, Simformotion marketing strategies.
• Degree in business, journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with educational content writing i.e., website content, news, long form articles, how-tos, lessons or other education-related material.
• Must be organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects.
• Work well alone or in a team environment.
• Able to report progress to stakeholders.
• Heavy equipment knowledge a plus.
• Curriculum design experience a plus.
• Experience with Adobe products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) a plus.

This is a remote position (work from home) within two hours of Peoria, Illinois (will be required to come to the office for training and some meetings each month).
