Empath Health is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team.

The Marketing Communications Specialist:

A full-time position responsible for providing administrative and operations support for all aspects of the Marketing and Communications (Marcom) Department.

The Empath Health Marcom Team acts as an in-house agency and supports all Marcom activities and brand management for Empath Health and its affiliate organizations (17 to 20 brands).

Works closely with the Vice President and other Marcom leadership to coordinate projects; manage vendor relationships; order promotional items; manage advertising and editorial calendars; schedule and create materials for a variety of meetings; monitor budgets; reconcile department financials; track and renew various subscriptions; facilitate sponsorship requests; monitor, order and restock printed collateral; assist with social media monitoring; create and distribute reports; and a variety of other marketing activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform assigned administrative duties for Vice President and other team members as needed.

In conjunction with Marcom leadership, manage editorial and paid media calendars.

Oversee promotional items management, including project requests, obtaining vendor quotes, providing proofs, managing invoices and reconciling financials. This requires working in a variety of software programs including Microsoft Excel and proprietary financial systems.

Facilitate requests for sponsorships and outreach events. Includes obtaining appropriate internal approvals, coordinating event attendance, corresponding with event/sponsorship venues, understanding event logistics and managing invoices and related financials.

Assist Marcom team with meeting regulatory compliance requirements on marketing materials.

Serve as a point of contact for department clients.

Assist Vice President with department budget management.

At the direction of Marcom leadership, obtain, track and renew various subscriptions (e.g., software subscriptions, stock image subscriptions, digital newspaper subscriptions, etc.). Manage related financials.

Assist Marcom leadership with department credit card reconciliation.

Support the Vice President with executing research projects, writing reports and gathering information from a variety of resources for special projects.

Work with Client Services, Copy Center and external vendors to assist with fulfillment of print collateral.

Assist in the development and interpretation of various analytics and department reporting.

Work with external advertising and PR agencies in coordination with other Marcom team members, when needed.

Support Social Media Coordinators with monitoring and responding, when needed.

Work directly with internal/external clients and oversee vendors as necessary.

Help maintain department assets including photos and publicity releases.

Learn new digital tools as needed.

Stay current with marketing and communications best practices.

Act as brand champion.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field; one to three years related experience; combination of training and experience will be considered.

Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Adobe products a plus.

Strong project coordination skills with experience organizing, prioritizing, planning and executing projects.

Results-oriented attitude with high expectations for quality, accuracy and overall excellence. Strong relationship-building skills and desire to collaborate with others, both within the Marcom team and throughout the organizations with changing priorities and reprioritizing projects as needed.

Superior administrative and organizational skills, including good command of English (punctuation and usage) typing and knowledge of currently utilized office equipment such as copier, scanner and printers.

Work characteristics such as flexibility, ability to work independently as well as a team player, anticipation of needs, dependability.

Detail oriented, problem solver and excellent time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with team members, project stakeholders and senior management in a fast-paced environment.

Proven track record of working well with others, seeing and accepting various points of view.

Maintain an interest in learning more about the different skill sets used throughout Marcom.

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work flexible hours (including occasional evenings and weekends, as necessary).

Travel to various worksites in Florida required.
