The Marketing Communications Specialist is an essential member of our strategic marketing team, integral to all of our visual and content creation efforts. This role coordinates the development of marketing assets from planning through production and final delivery, proactively communicating across stakeholders to understand dependencies, align expectations and ensure timelines and requirements for each deliverable are met.
What You’ll Be Doing:Â- Support marketing team members (and other project creators) in defining project scope and timing, and aligning requirements with budgets and resources
- Maintain Marketing Priorities and Backlog (P&B) for an always-accurate snapshot of what is on deck, in production, and complete
- Utilize Basecamp in concert with P&B to create timelines and facilitate contributor collaboration, providing timely updates on task completion and issue escalation
- Coordinate timelines, SOWs and deliverables with external vendors and partners as needed to ensure project requirements, timelines and budgets are met
- Source vendors as needed to support new projects and promotions Â
- Create, edit and/or proofread marketing copy to be clear, compelling, and concise for the medium: websites, social media, advertising, promotional materials, newsletters, emails, etc. that ensures compelling and effective communication
- Plan and coordinate stakeholder approvals (across the marketing team, other departments, Legal, etc) with an eye towards efficiency and speed (both for us and other stakeholders.)
- Monitor Roadie’s owned marketing channels (website, landing pages, social media, etc) to identify and escalate inconsistencies or missed opportunities to align Roadie’s brand/image voice across content, product packaging, events, and promotional materials
- Manage company store, SWAG inventory, maintenance and fulfillment
- 2+ years experience in marketing communications or related project coordination
- Acute attention to detail; Superior planning and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in to help others
- Must be comfortable working in a deadline-oriented, fast paced business environment with shifting priorities
- Understanding of best practices for writing marketing, SEO and display ad copy
- Experience and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- A creative eye and awareness/appreciation of design best practices
