Marketing Communications Specialist

Our client, a well-established, creative nonprofit association in downtown DC, is currently seeking a motivated Marketing Communications Specialist to join their team. You will be creating content for email newsletters, digital and print marketing campaigns, and website copy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Marketing Communications Specialist will implement and execute a marketing content strategy that will increase traffic to our client's website
• Work with the marketing and communications department to strategize overall messaging for new marketing campaigns
• The Marketing Communications Specialist will work with staff at all levels across multiple departments to develop and maintain marketing content and ensure that relevant information has a presence on multiple channels
• The Marketing Communications Specialist will develop copy for print and digital ads, emails, social media, brochures, and other marketing channels
• Assist the marketing department with long-form writing projects that include whitepapers and op-eds, in addition to general copywriting and editing responsibilities

• 2-5+ years of relevant experience in marketing and/or copywriting
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Experience in creating content for digital and print marketing channels
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Proven ability to build team rapport and work effectively across multiple departments
• Experience writing in AP format a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience editing and writing in both traditional and digital formats
