Marketing Content Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining marketing content to support the organizational goals, business objectives and growth priorities of Duke Corporate Education across global markets. Your duties will also include sharing content to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing and multimedia skills. As a Content manager, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail oriented. If you are also an expert in content optimization and brand consistency, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, we expect the ideal candidate to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
- Collaborate to plan and develop social media content, style, and layout
- Create and publish engaging content including short video and graphics
- Edit, proofread, and improve quality of posts
- Liaise with content writers to ensure brand and thought-leadership consistency
- Optimize content according to SEO
- Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar in alignment with marketing and global markets
- Ensure compliance with law (e.g., copyright and data protection)
- Stay up-to-date and report on developments and generate innovative ideas to draw audience's attention
Requirements
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience creating social media content that drives thought leadership and growth
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Experience with HubSpot and a proven track record for supporting the content requirements for digital marketing projects.
- Understanding of basic user experience and website development best practices.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM and an ability to generate content that incorporates SEO best practices and guidelines.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, detailed-oriented environment under tight deadlines, and with internal and external colleagues.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy.
- Proficiency in some combination of design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.) and familiarity with video editing and production software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in journalism, marketing, or related field; five years of related experience in global marketing and communications with demonstrated experience in driving the implementation of content plans and tactics. Work experience should include content strategy development and expertise in tactics that range from developing collateral material to digital content to highly targeted, audience-specific initiatives.
