Alight is looking for a Marketing Content Writer

As part of an industry-leading team, the Marketing Content Writer will be a pivotal member of the Retiree Health Solutions Creative Marketing team and play an important role in developing the overall Retiree Health content strategy. The Marketing Writer will curate, develop and edit a variety of materials for various audiences and channels.

Your Impact as A Marketing Content Writer

Job Responsibilities: Supports content development and delivery for multi-channel campaigns across a wide variety of topics such as healthcare, wellness, retirement, financial wellbeing, total rewards, benefit plan design changes, pay and incentive programs, recruiting, organizational change, and more. Promotes the Retiree Health business' core messages through online, print, email, video, thought-leadership, sales collateral, and other channels while representing the overall Alight Solutions brand and style:

• Create and deliver engaging dynamic content in a variety of formats and for multiple content needs including retiree health education, thought-leadership, product promotion, lead generation and sales prospecting
• Engage internally as a writing/content consultant with business partners and lend content support and expertise to transform complex concepts into creative stories,
• Support content development and delivery for multi-channel, multi-touch campaigns targeting retirement-aged consumers
• Become a Retiree Health business' writing expert and develop and maintain an understanding of Alight as a brand, its key initiatives and strategies/solutions
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy
• Lead and contribute to the creation of an organizational content strategy and editorial calendar
• Manage interactions with internal Compliance and Legal teams. Provide periodic assistance in packaging and submitting content changes to regulatory bodies
• Stay abreast of market trends and work with Marketing Engagement partners and Marketing Operations to identify content optimization opportunities
• Consult with internal partners, lending content expertise and point of view to support strategy and delivery
• Contribute to the development of a web content and SEO strategy, as needed
• Edit and polish existing content to improve readability and messaging; promote writing best practices
• Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure voice consistency

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

• 7+ years writing experience, preferably in the HR, Retirement, Insurance, Medicare or Benefits industries
• Strong narrative skills in creating a story using words, images, video and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience (e.g., website content, white papers, blogs, infographics, email, landing pages, social media)
• Experience writing for B2B, B2B2C and Direct to Consumer programs
• Demonstrated editorial ability across a variety of customer segments as well as brand and audience personas
• Experience writing for digital channels including web, social media and video
• A desire to learn new mediums as needed (ie writing podcasts)
• Experience managing variable messaging/fields/requirements a plus
• Autonomous thinker and a desire to get questions answered and to learn the subject matter
• Exhibit creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Convert complex information to simple to understand details
• Ability to, and demonstrated examples of writing for multiple channels, formats and audiences
• Not afraid to shift priorities on a moment's notice and balance multiple deliverables
• Proven success in ability to work cross-functionally; able to work equally well with people in business, creative and technical positions.
• Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to successfully present program recommendations
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows software (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook); Monday.com experience a plus
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in developing content for and understanding Medicare and the Medicare Marketplace
• Plugged into emerging content strategy trends and can put them into context
• Strong familiarity with SEO concepts
• Experience working with third party video production and creative services
• Healthcare Industry Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate's experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $55,800.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $115,000.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
